Submission Guidelines & Review Process

Submission Guidelines

1. Relevance

  • We welcome articles that explore the intersection of climate change, finance, and law. Topics may include, but are not limited to, climate finance mechanisms, legal frameworks for climate action, climate-related financial risks, and case studies of climate litigation.

2. Original Content

  • Submissions must be original and not previously published elsewhere. We do not accept articles that are under consideration by other publications.

3. Length and Format

  • Articles should be between 1,000 to 2,500 words. Please use clear, concise language and avoid jargon. Submissions should be in Microsoft Word format, with 12-point Century Gothic font and double-spaced.

4. Citations and References

  • All sources must be properly cited using footnotes or endnotes. We prefer the use of the OSCOLA citation style for legal references and APA style for other references. Include a bibliography at the end of your article.

5. Author Information

  • Provide a brief bio (50-100 words) including your current affiliation and any relevant experience. You may also include a headshot and links to your professional profiles (e.g., LinkedIn, ResearchGate).

6. Submission Process

  • Send your article as an email attachment to climatefinancelaw@gmail.com. Include “Article Submission” in the subject line. In the body of the email, provide a brief summary of your article (150-200 words).

Review Process

1. Initial Screening

  • Upon receipt, submissions will undergo an initial screening by our editorial team to ensure they meet our guidelines and are relevant to our audience.

2. Peer Review

  • Articles that pass the initial screening will be sent for peer review. Our reviewers are experts in the fields of climate finance and law. They will evaluate the article for originality, rigor, clarity, and contribution to the field.

3. Feedback and Revisions

  • Based on the reviewers’ feedback, the editorial team will decide whether to accept the article, request revisions, or reject it. Authors will receive detailed feedback and, if revisions are needed, will be given a timeline for resubmission.

4. Final Decision

  • The editorial team will make the final decision on the publication of the article. Accepted articles will be scheduled for publication in an upcoming issue of the blog.

5. Publication

  • Once accepted, articles will be edited for clarity, grammar, and formatting. Authors may sometimes have the opportunity to review the final version before publication. Published articles will be promoted through our website, social media channels, and email newsletters.

We look forward to receiving your submissions and contributing to the important discourse on climate finance and law. If you have any questions or need further information, please contact us at: climatefinancelaw@gmail.com.
